Vineyard and Vintage Notes:
Les Vireuils is a Meursault village parcel that well situated behind the town towards the top of the hillside. The elevation and eastward exposure provide for ideal sunlight and ripening. 2005 was a fantastic vintage for this site, producing ripe fruit with very intense aromatics and very concentrated rich flavors on the palate.

Fermentation and Aging:
The grapes were hand picked and transported by refrigerated truck to the winery. There they were sorted prior to a whole cluster pressing. After settling the juice was transferred by gravity into our barrels in the cellar for fermentation. After fermentation, the wine was left sur lies for 12 months, with the malolactic fermentation passing naturally. We gently fined and filtered the wine prior to bottling.

Tasting notes:
This Meursault exhibits both elegance and power that exemplifies this appellation. The nose shows minerality with citrus and a hint of soft oak. On the palate the concentation and richness of the fruit, with fresh acidity are layed and enhanced by the viscosity that embodies the wine from this village.
